The wax is not staying put in my gumline cavity, and my saliva seems to be dissolving it. Nevertheless, I kinda feel like there’s a dental benefit to chewing beeswax. So thanks!!

I found that a chunk of propolis stays in and is easier to get in than just wax

My crown fell off this morning, 2 hours after the start of a snowstorm – in the south. So of course everybody is freaking out, the roads are a mess, and nothing will be open until next week.

Fortunately I have google, and pure beeswax (for making woodworking finishes). Your blog post has saved me a great deal of discomfort until I can get this glued back on in a few days. Thank you.

I think I made it till July when I got the vaccine and during that time I think I replaced the beeswax about twice. It served me very well and as a temporary measure I recommend it.
The trip to the dentist was as just as bad as I had expected, in fact the second trip was worse. First of all the temporary crown from the first trip had to be removed and it put up a fight. I thought my bloody teeth were going to come out with it! Then the permanent thing had to be put on and that didn’t seem to want to either. It was hell.
But thank you for asking!
A word of advice – always, always look after your teeth.
